MONTHLY FOOD, MEDICINES AND VITAMINS DONATION CSR PROGRAM FOR THE ELDERLY

In line with United Auctioneers Inc.’s (UAI) “Tulong at Kalinga” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, the Company, as represented by its HR Management & Development Director – Mr. James Alexander I. Diaz, together with UAI representatives, recently launched a very successful Monthly Food, Medicines and Vitamins Donation CSR program for the Elderly beneficiaries of St. Joseph Community Center Foundation, Inc. (SJCCFI) in Olongapo City last June 6, 2018.

SJCCFI is a non-profit organization under St. Joseph College – Community Extension Services Office that provides support to several beneficiary groups under its community extension services programs – the Pastoral Care for the Elderly (PCE) being one of these programs. SJCCFI relies solely on the goodness and charity of the people and very few business entities that help support the foundation in continuing its mission to help those in need.

To answer SJCCFI’s call to help its Elderly beneficiaries, UAI pledged to donate a variety of food items and supplies of various medicines and vitamins good for one month to each and every elderly beneficiary EVERY MONTH through its Monthly Food, Medicines and Vitamins Donation CSR program.

The event started off with a prayer, followed by activities and games for the elderly and concluded with the distribution of goods, medicines and vitamins and packed lunch for the elderly and representatives of the foundation, served happily by UAI representatives. The priceless smiles, laughter and energy that came from the Elderly as they expressed their joy and gratitude was enough to deem the event a success.

This outreach activity is one among several CSR initiatives rooted in UAI’s “Tulong at Kalinga” Corporate CSR Program, planned throughout the year and aimed to uplift indigent and disadvantaged people/communities located in Subic, Bataan, and other nearby provinces.
